Attu's Crew

I was born and raised in Michigan, where
I spent my summers boating, fishing, and camping with my family. I attended
Kalamazoo College in Michigan where I majored in economics and studied in
Russia, Europe, Singapore, Hong Kong, and China.
In 1996, I accepted a position with Accenture in Seattle. In 2000, I purchased
Attu, a 32 foot cutter-rigged Westsail. In September 2001, I transferred to
Accenture’s San Francisco office and sailed Attu from Seattle to Loch Lomond
Marina in San Rafael, where I have lived aboard ever since.
I am currently a senior manager in Accenture’s financial service consulting
practice, where I specialize in planning and managing large incentive
compensation projects. I travel for work most weeks, having worked with clients
in Minneapolis, Sydney (Australia), Pasadena, Milwaukee, Chicago, and
Philadelphia.

I was born, raised, and have lived
my entire life in the San Francisco Bay Area, with the exception of the 5 grade
school years my family spent in South Bend, Indiana. (Go Fighting Irish!) I
worked my way through college as a food server and travel agent, which is how I
discovered a gypsy-like quality--a desire to explore the world. By the time I
graduated from college with my BS in Geology I had explored parts of England,
Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and most of the US. Upon graduation, Cattlemens
Steakhouse made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. I quickly worked my way up to
General Manager of my own Bay Area restaurant.
Now I enjoy living the boating life, restoring the varnish on neighboring boats.
When I'm not making wood shine I enjoy a good long hike, knitting a pair of
wooly socks, watching all sorts of movies, or absorbing the latest crime novel.
But nothing tops holding my newborn nephew and visiting with my friends and
family.
